A/N: This is a Bella/Cissa drabble, my Christmas gift for of_bad_faith. If you'd like for me to write you a Christmas gift, get on my friends list and ask. Because I like writing people stuff, yes I do. And no, I don't know if in 1979 the 24th of December was on a Monday. Get over it. Sorry for cross-posting. Now ... on with the drabble!
There are some days when it's almost okay. Days where her eyes seem dark with want instead of hatred, and she seems sorrowful instead of murderous.
Understand, I wouldn't want her to be sad. I would want that she be radiant, over-joyed, happy.
But despair, the diamond tears leaving frozen scars on her cheeks, is so much better than the blood-colored claws raking over my skin.
Like the stigma of darkness, she's empty. Her eyes are dark caverns where light is only visible as a raging fire when she thinks of Him, and knows Him, and even as we are together as one she tells me of His soul through her crazed, cock-eyed smile, her fangs bared to me and I all but picture the blood coating her lips.
